There are two churches in the town – Crail Parish Church, Church of Scotland and The Most Holy Trinity Church. The nearest Episcopal Churches are in Pittenweem and St Andrews.

Worship:- Services are held on Sunday at 11.15am in Crail Parish Church in the Marketgate. Sunday evening services are held on the last Sunday of each month during the summer months at 6.30pm. There is also an early morning service during July and August held at 9.30am which lasts for half an hour followed by tea, proceeds to the Tear Fund.

Holy Communion is held on the fourth Sunday of February, June and October.

Crail Parish Church is linked with Kingsbarns Parish Church.

Enviornmental Services: There are currently three separate coloured bins provided for the collection of waste. Grey bins for non-recyclable waste collected every other Friday along with brown bins for garden waste. Blue bins for paper waste collected on the other alterative Friday.

Other items of refuse – such as household appliances etc are collected by arrangement with the cleansing department.

There are two private businesses that will follow the refuse uplift and clean the bins if contracted to do so.

The nearest Recycling points for all refuse are Charles Street Pittenweem, and at Morrisons Supermarket, St Andrews.

Smaller recycling points can be found at Crail Primary School and the Co-op in Anstruther.

Inner Wheel of Anstruther: Meets the 2nd Monday of the month in the Craws Nest Hotel 6.45 for 7.00pm


Monday Club: Meets every Monday from the beginning of October to mid march, 2.15 – 3.45pm in the Small Community Hall. There is a varied programme of talks, slide shows and music.

R.N.L.I.: Raises money for the life boat with stalls through out the summer months on Sundays at the harbour as well as coffee mornings and a Life Boat Gala in the summer.

Bible Study Group: Meets on every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Church, usually finished by 9.00pm


Church Choir: Meets every Friday evening in the Kirk Hall at 7.30pm


Chat Bite: Tea/Coffee morning every Wednesday in The Kirk Hall from 10.00am – 12 noon.


Prayer group: Meets every Wednesday morning in the Church at 10.00pm


The Strolling Players: A musical Drama Group who put on a Pantomime and Summer Show. They meet on Thursday nights in the Kirk Hall at 7.30pm.when rehearsing.


Guild: Meets in the Kirk Hall at 7.15pm and 2.15pm on the first and third Thursdays of the month. We are a happy and friendly group.


Sunday School: Age 3 and upwards Sunday 11.15am in the Church and afterwards in The Kirk Hall

Singing, Storytelling, drama, craft and lots of fun.


Song Birds: Toddlers Singing Group Meets in the Kirk Hall

Mondays 9.30 – 10.30am


The Beacon: One Friday a month at 7pm in the Legion Hall “The Friday Night Chill out”
