‘THE CHILDREN’S CLUB is run by the Church in the first week of August each year, for children age 3 to primary 7 and all are welcome.
This year (2011), the theme was Jesus and Me (JAM), involving the story of the parables and was attended by 56 children, averaging 40 a day with 8 adult helpers, 7 teenage helpers with all over 16 security checked.
FEEDING OF THE 5000 We had a baker who showed us how to make bread and a fisherman who had a basket of haddock, cod, ling, star fish, sea urchins, prawns, live lobster and crab, mussels and clams.
PUPPET SHOW ON GOOD SAMARITAN We made the Helping Hands Tree with quotes of what the children do to be a good Samaritan - see pictures below.
THE SOWERS The picture shows the result of the seed that fell on good ground. There were 2 other pictures, one where the seeds were eaten by
Birds and one where they fell on stoney ground.
THE TEMPLE where Jesus was lost when He was 12 and the sandals of the people who walked to the temple.
